SSBI: Single Scope Background Investigation is 

conducted for all Chief Park Rangers and Park Law 

Enforcement Specialists of Border and Icon Parks, 

Regional Chief Rangers and LE staff, LESES LE staff, 

Regional Law Enforcement Specialists and

Special Agents. With a favorably adjudicated SSBI, the 

LEO is eligible for either aSecret or Top Secret 

Clearance.
